I spent time almost every weekend at Summerwind in the late 80's with my friends. I was there the weekend before it burned down. We would go to Summerwind, the Paulding Light and sometimes back to Summerwind. I still have a few pictures of it. I agree with the comment somedays it felt "friendly" and other times it felt...unfriendly, I guess. Hard to explain. It's very cool this website exists. Unfortunately, there is someone building very close to the ruins. I am planning on stopping by again next weekend on my way to "The Light." I have a friend that has never been to either, need to share the experiences.....

I have had many encounters with spirts of some kind over the last few years. Not to this extent. It's a shame that the house burnt down. I would have liked to take a tour. I am now planning to stop and see the property the next time I'm in Wisconsin, which is often since I live in Iowa and have lots of family all over Wisconsin.

Visited Summerwind back in Aug. of 85 with my cousin and another kid. Took several pics both of the outside and inside. Was a neat place. Wish I could find the pics to share. Remember them all being fuzzy around the edges and somewhat out of focus. would like to compare them with the pics on your web site.

Great info on a very interesting place. I've had paranormal experiences. It's a shame that it's not still there...but it sounds like that hasn't stopped the activity. Thank you!
